Busy Week in Buhl

Hey! It was a good week! A lot happened

We went to the Bingham’s a couple times this week! They are a really cool family. While we were giving a lesson, Justin Cleverly came by and it was cool to see him again (they were the family that we had dinner with that hasn't been to church in 10+ years). We also helped them with some landscaping later in the week so that was fun too!

Tuesday we had a really good District Meeting and it was very spiritually uplifting!

OH YEAH! So we are meeting with Camille/ Al again! Do y’all remember them from a while ago? Yeah we are visiting and helping them out again so that is nice.

On Thursday we went in to Jen Nelsons salon. Johanna came by so it was cool to see her and then we also talked with one of the workers there, Tegan, and she knows Sallie and is going to help us fellowship her!

On Saturday we ate with the Andersons and they cooked us some super good steak! It was thick too. Best steak I have had on my mission. Then we ate with the Bowman’s last night and that was a lot of fun! I love their family. The kids opened up a lot and the two 8 year old twin girls really showed their colors and were crazy ahha but they are cute and fun!

Saturday night something cool happened: We went to go visit a family and they weren't home so we went with Bro. Lloyd to go contact a name and we got in the home and found out he is less-active and his wife is not member and they are open to us teaching the lessons!! It was way cool and we are looking forward to teaching them this week!! I will keep y’all posted. Their names are John and Flo Aguilar. Oh and she asked us why we are on a mission and what is our goal when we go into homes. It was a good experience for me and I told her that I find joy in seeing others joy in finding Christ. I said other things but while I was saying them, I felt the spirit strongly testify to me that that was my purpose and my passion for being out here. We don't serve missions for ourselves, but for God's children around us. Their joy brings us more exceeding joy than anything else. Alma talks a lot about that in the scriptures and so do the sons of Mosiah. At on point Amulek chastises Ammon I think for boasting in his joy and Ammon responds that he is boasting in his God and the exceeding joy of bringing the joyful message of salvation and hope to others and that he is just and right in glorying in his God and not in his self.

Oh and I have been talking with a lot of people and also putting some thought into things and I have actually decided that I want to become a physical therapist! Idk where to go to school or what but that is what I want to be now!!

A lot of other things happened I just can't remember them and I wrote them down but I forgot the paper! :( Sorry I will update more next week If I left out important things! Also a cool scripture I randomly found this morning: D&C 88:67-68 talks about being filled with light and no room for darkness in our lives!!

Love y'all!!

"And if your eye be single to my glory, your whole bodies shall be filled with light, and there shall no darkness in you; and that body which is filled with light comprehendeth all things. Therefore sanctify yourselves that your minds become single to God, and the days will come that you shall see him; for he will unveil his face unto you, and it shall be in his own time, and in his own way, and according to his own will." Trio of Elders

This week was fun and was interesting to be in a trio since Wednesday!

Wednesday we went to transfer meeting so we could get Elder Bagley to form the trio! Elder Risley gave me his bag cause he was going home and Elder Kennedy is also going home. Two missionaries that were a lot of fun and I am going to miss!

Visited a couple families that night to introduce Elder Bagley and it was good.

Friday we had a district meeting and it was a lot of fun!! Also we taught some good lessons. Taught the Wilder's about the Temple (going to the Payson UT temple open house Saturday). Had a cool opportunity to give Bob Graybeal Sr. a blessing because of his health. (not a member)

This weekend was great! Had stake conference and President and Sister Curtis came to both the Saturday night and Sunday morning sessions (they had to speak). Very good messages from all the speakers. A lot of it was about the Sabbath Day and how to deepen our understanding of it and make it more of a spiritual experience when we take the sacrament.

Saturday night they showed us some trainings from the First Presidency and Quorum of the Twelve to the Seventy's. Then there was an open discussion about it! Pretty neat!

Sunday was a good day and I really enjoyed it. Went to Castleford last night and visited with a couple families and it was good!! We had a fun week and some good things happened!

I am excited for this upcoming week because this Wednesday we get to go to the temple!!! So pumped.

Love y'all!!

Transfers - Staying in Buhl and Getting Another Companion

Good week, found out transfers. Both Elder Moser and I are staying, but we are also getting Elder Bagley so we will be a trio here in Buhl! I am excited for this new experience!

Had a fun tuesday and the Binghams made us some super good dinner. Steak and roasted potatoes. Then we went to Stake Correlation and Bro Bowman was there so it was actually not bad.

Wednesday we helped Jen Nelson make a stand-up chalkboard sign for outside her salon and then she got us haircuts there from her workers. Had some super good visits with people that day too!

The Nelsons are so awesome and we are getting pretty close to them. We went to Boeden's soccer game Saturday and he gets so distracted so it was funny to watch.

Elder Amezcua taught me how to play 'Clocks'-Coldplay on the piano! It is super easy and way cool. Also on Thursday the Naegle's made us some good southern food, Jumbalia and Cornbread! (not sure how to spell jumbalia) Sis. Knudson did some more reflexology/massage therapy on my back and it felt so good and took away a ton of stress and pain! It was super cool.

Friday we went by Bro. Cole's house and he let us drive his Razr around the neighborhood haha. It was way fun. Then at night we went out to Balance Rock Park for the Father/Son campout and had good food and went hiking with Josh Pehrson and his dog Cooper.

This weekend was fun! Got to skype y'all which was awesome!! I loved seeing y'all and hearing y'all's voices. The Morgans made some super good smoked tri-tip and ribs and homeade ice cream! Also had chocolate covered strawberries at the Hutchinsons! It was a good Mother's Day and I thought about you a lot momma :) All the many things you have done for me and how awesome you are. All the times I have ever struggled you have been there and have been the most amazing mother I could ever ask for. You love me even when I don't deserve it and I love that! I love you momma and always will <3.

We Are Teaching Some Awesome Families!

Good week overall and I am getting more and more nervous for transfers next week! By my next email home I will know whether I am staying or leaving!

Monday: Had awesome time with the Garbett's and with the Hutchinson's had a great in depth spiritual conversation! Always fun. Got pulled over but no biggie, got a warning ;)

Met with Roger F. a couple times this week. Very interesting. Believes in scripture only, not doctrine and doesn't accept Book of Mormon as scripture. He kind of has a lot of pride in his way. Won't accept new concept and act on it to read and pray and ask for the truth. He thinks what his beliefs are, is what is right. It is tough.

Went to Castleford a couple times this week! Met with a couple people down there. Mainly the Lloyd's and the Pehrsons!

Watched Meet the Mormons with the Nelson's this week and that went well! Arlin liked it. Also Sallie was there (his niece) and she liked it too.

During exchanges on Thursday with Elder Rosales, my district leader, we went on a  road that ended up not being a road and had a sketchy experience doing a 7 point turn around on a hillside haha.

Last night we went to a Youth Fireside that was a lot of fun! I like being around the youth and they enjoy the missionaries too.

Anyways things are going well and we are teaching some awesome families!! I love y'all and can't wait til Sunday!!!

This morning we went to balance rock and ran up to the top of this mountain and I was
so winded and my whole body was sore but we ended up getting some sweet pictures
of the sunrise and said a cool prayer as a district. (3 companionships).
